Rhodes School District 84.5

ABC Program

The A.B.C. Program at Rhodes School is an attempt to recognize and reward students for positive deeds and actions. The initials A.B.C.'s represent the following:
A=Academic
B=Behavior
C=Citizenship
S=School Spirit

A "positive" or "good deed" may encompass many things. For example, helping another student work on a problem, assisting a teacher, demonstrating school spirit, or as simple as picking up a piece of paper.

When a student is observed doing a "good deed," the observing individual (teacher, custodian, administrator) fills out a short form recognizing the deed. The form is then dropped off in the office. When a student accumulates three ABC's, they are recognized. Some of the awards include: pencils, book covers, magnets, etc.

It is our intention to reward the special people at Rhodes with some special recognition. Hopefully, this program will have a "snowball effect" and really good deeds happening on a more frequent basis.
