Kindergarten Boats | Project
1: Winslow Homer Moving Water Seascapes Our Kindergarten students explore
the contrast of movement and silhouette in their watercolor seascapes.
The children become more aware of the movement of the water and how it
influences the position of their boats. The children will also investigate
the concept of cool colors. They make discoveries in color mixing in the
process of combining a variety of blues, greens and greys in their paintings.
“The Mediterranean has the color of mackerel, changeable I mean.
You don’t always know if it is green or violet, you can’t
even say it’s blue, because the next moment the changing reflection
has taken on a bit of rose or gray.” Vincent Van Gogh
