| RhodesRhodes School Art Gallery | This website has been created to introduce you to some of the learning goals and projects from the Rhodes School Art Department. Rhodes is a pre-k through grade eight school. Our learning goals are based upon the desire to provide children with an introduction to Art History and an understanding of some basic visual concepts. These concepts include the visual elements of line, space, color, texture, and value. Many of the projects are connected to other subjects across the curriculum. Another aspiration is to simply provide children with a nurturing and respectful environment for their creativity and expression. Educational research has shown that meaningful and satisfying experiences in the Arts enhance learning in all areas. We hope our students will be engaged as life-long learners in the Arts and all across the curriculum. | ||||
