Project Four: Watercolor Giraffes
Our third grade students observe variations in giraffe skin patterns.
They paint large sheets of skin pattern using wet into wet watercolor
technique. The children discover that everyone’s skin patterns
are unique. They sketch large giraffes on dried pattern paper. The giraffes
are then cut out and mounted on background paper. Students paint environments
for their giraffes.
