Rhodes School District 84.5

PreSchool

Our play-based preschool program focuses on the development of foundational, academic, and social skills. We provide opportunities to grow socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Our classrooms provide a sensitive and safe learning environment where we encourage students to work, play, and share with other children. We support students in developing new interests, building good work habits, and increasing their independence in daily routines and self-care tasks. We incorporate art, music, movement, and technology into each unit using the Creative Curriculum Framework.

Rhodes Preschool Program is tuition-free and funded through the Preschool For All grant provided by the state of Illinois. The grant also allows us to host monthly parent involvement events including storytellers, performances, game nights, and more. Parent participation is welcome and encouraged!

Students attend for a half day, Monday through Friday. AM session is 7:50-10:25 AM and the PM session is from 12:05-2:45 PM Monday through Thursday. Friday afternoon sessions end at 2 PM for the whole school Early Dismissal.

Rhodes School hosts preschool screenings each year for students interested in attending the program. You can contact the main office for more information.

Teachers can be contacted via DOJO and email. Please visit our Staff Connection to contact your child's teacher.
